Plagiarism Policy

The Earthline Journal of Mathematical Sciences (EJMS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. Authors submitting manuscripts to EJMS must ensure that their work is original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism.

All manuscripts submitted to EJMS are screened for originality using Crossref’s Similarity Check powered by iThenticate. This process helps detect potential plagiarism, duplication, and improper citation of previously published materials.

The acceptable similarity index for manuscripts submitted to EJMS is less than 30%. If a manuscript exceeds this limit, it may be returned to the authors for revision to reduce the similarity or rejected by the editorial office before the peer-review process.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The manuscript is written in their own words.
  • All sources, ideas, data, and quotations from other works are properly cited.
  • Proper acknowledgment is given for any figures, tables, or content reproduced from other publications.

Any form of plagiarism, including direct copying, paraphrasing without citation, self-plagiarism, or data fabrication, is considered unethical and unacceptable. If plagiarism is detected during the review process, the manuscript will be rejected immediately. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the journal reserves the right to retract the article and notify the authors’ institutions if necessary.

By submitting a manuscript to EJMS, authors confirm that the work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration for publication in another journal.
